Orange Butter Cream Frosting

This a great tangy frosting. It comes out nice and stiff and is good for decorating.
Ingredients:
¼ c vegetable shortening
½ c butter
½ an orange (I used a Peruvian orange since they are a bit juicier)
zest of a whole orange
1 ½ tablespoons of vanilla
about 4 cups of confectioners sugarDirections:

Squeeze the juice from half the orange into a bowl and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and shortening until smooth.
Add zest and vanilla.
Beat in the sugar one cup at a time
About half way through, add the orange juice
Continue beating in the sugar until you have the consistency you wish for decorating
